Par is the shortest route our solver found. Finish in par clicks for ★★★, within par + 2 for ★★.
How WikiRace levels work
Each level is a fixed WikiRace route: a start article and a target on English Wikipedia. You move only by clicking links in the article, and the in-game Back button counts as a click, as in every WikiRace mode. Finishing a level unlocks the next one, and you can replay any level you have unlocked to improve your score.
Par and stars
Par is the length of the shortest route our solver found for the level. Your stars depend on how close you get to it:
| Your clicks | Stars |
|---|---|
| Par or fewer | ★★★ |
| Par + 1 or par + 2 | ★★☆ |
| More than par + 2 | ★☆☆ |
From easy to hard
- Levels 1 to 11 have a par of 1: the start article links straight to the target, if you can spot the link.
- Levels 12 to 270 have a par of 2: one article in the middle connects them, and the trick is guessing which one.
- Levels 271 to 300 have a par of 3: our solver proved that no 1- or 2-click route exists. Their shortest paths are on the hardest WikiRace routes page, if you get stuck.
